It is needless to mention that Medium and Small Scale Industry Sectors always played a very vital role in the Indian Industrial Economy. To keep the Medium, Small & Micro Enterprise (MSME) Sectors afloat in the era of globalisation, continuous modification and modernisation is needed. Timely reforms are much in need to instil dynamism in the industrial economy through research & development and healthy competition. The productivity of the MSME and other industrial sectors directly depends upon availability of appropriate skilled workforce at easy reach.
The vocational training curricula and methodology in India needs quantum growth with quality and with multi skill approach, so that the mismatch between the skill in demand and the skill at the source can be reduced. The skill level of competency of the trainees must be at par with the skill level required in the competitive world labour market in the era of globalization policy.
